Post-Intervention Review Deliverables"The deliverables in this phase are intended to capture the lessons learned from the project rescue initiative and then to return the project back to the project team. Typically you would also update all the deliverables starting from phase 1 to reflect the situation after the project review."
Post Mortem Report"The purpose of the post mortem report is to learn from the project experience. This includes understanding what went well, what did not go well, and what could be done better. Punitive post mortems create avoidance or defensive behaviors. It's better to have an objective 'let's learn from the past and move on' session that is led by someone such as the project rescue manager."
"This step is often skipped due to project pressures, but that's a mistake. The post mortem report is protection that the same behavior that resulted in the necessity for a project rescue will not be so easily repeated."
Master Project Plan"The original project plan needs to be updated and modified to reflect the next phases of activities."
Enhancement List"Mine the issues log to find specific new enhancements and their costs, and include them on the project plan."
