“A training lead should be identified in the core team to coordinate the training requirements for the business and technical sides of the extended project team. Ongoing training requirements, and refresher courses, also need to be established. Here are some of the questions that the rescue manager should ask to support the training requirements in the remaining phases of the initiative:
- Where is the training plan? This question should be posed to the training lead. The plan needs to incorporate the answers to the three questions described below.
- What are the training requirements for the business users? This question should be directed to the stakeholders. It is necessary to collect specific names, what they need to be trained on, and when they are going to be available. The stakeholders need to solicit permissions for the users to attend the training.
- Who is responsible for training the users? Who is responsible for training the support teams? The answers to these questions should be left to the training leader. The solution should also include how the training costs are going to be paid.
- What training requirements are needed during the project? This open-ended question should be posed to any of the leads, managers, and stakeholders at the start of the initiative.”
