Green Project Management

Focus on the environment has spawed a whole new vocabulary: "environmentally friendly", "green", and "green project" are just a few examples. Green projects are attractive to project sponsors because they not only reduce expenses or increase revenue, they improve the corporate image as well because of the positive affect they have on the environment. Spending Less on IT

This article provides some details of that study, including some of the key recommendations in it. Not surprisingly, much of the study had to do with how the British governement managed its IT projects and many of the recommendations focus on how to improve government oversight of IT projects, and how to conserve spending.
